Filming Blog

We successfully did all our filming in the span of two days! We did all Cardi B footage one day, and all Bruno footage the next. We first went to Fort Lauderdale Collections where we picked out a car to film for the beginning of the song. We chose to go with the Porsche because the beginning of the song say "Drop-top Porsche". I made sure I had jewelry on because the whole point of the song was about drippin' and finesse of wealth. The next line said "Rollie on my wrist, diamonds up and down my chains." So best believe, I had my watch (may not have been a Rolex) and two chains on. Because the song is so upbeat, i was dancing and posing around the car while mouthing the words. There was many other exotic cars there. However, we had to do the most relevant to our song. After the car place, we made our way to the beach by Las Olas. I mostly had my videos, in the road. This was difficult because i would have to wait until all the cars left in order to film in the street. Anybody that has been to the beach would know that the beach streets are very busy, especially by Las Olas. The road is where I let loose and busted out the dance moves. It was honestly a fun and great feeling. We also went to the restaurant Bubba Gump to do my "Like Aye" moments. Each scene either faded or jumped directly into the other.
Then the next day I had to film my partner scene. His was pretty basic because he don't have the moves the Jagger like me. He filmed both at the beach and exotic car store like me. His part was most on the romantic side than Cardi B so he used me as a prop at times. He ended his scene with a sassy end by walking away from the Porsche. This showed a lack of worries.
The fact that we had finished filming on Thursday and the project was due the end of class on Friday, I had no choice but to work on it when I got home. It would be nearly impossible to finish all the editing in school. So i did all the editing at home on iMovie on my phone. Then when I got to school, I had to do nothing but add the song to the video and turn it in. For a music video that was pretty last minute, it looked really good. I'm glad i decided to edit it at home or who know how the video would've turned out.
