Genre Research Powerpoint

Our genre of film we decided to do was dance.We did dance because we felt that depending in the dance, there can be many stories told. For example, ballet is more elegant and can represent grace whereas hip-hop is more break-dancing. They're five elements to the genre: space, timing, body, action, and energy. Based on these elements, you can tell the message behind the film. My favorite element was action because it’s not much about what dance you do, but more of how you do it. The aggressiveness, passion, emotion, and attitude behind the dance is the most important part. It’s what separates a good dance movie from a average dance movie.
